Static hosting for Teachers and Schools

We’re a passionate, ambitious bunch of designers and developers, wanting to champion the way we teach coding and tech in schools.

We want everyone to have the ability to create, deploy and share their new site.

Building a platform where teachers and students can collaborate is a key focus for us. Learning to code can open so many doors, change the way you solve problems, face road blocks and open your mind to many possibilities of the web.

Teaching programming skills to children is seen as a long-term solution to the “skills gap” between the number of technology jobs and the people qualified to fill them - The Guardian

Our plan

We want to create an easy to use, secure platform where teachers & students can use Figroll to host their work. It will give teachers visibility to check code, set tasks and showcase students work. Allowing students to have a safe sandbox to upload their work is key.

What we need

We have the means and time to create an amazing platform, but lack the knowledge of bringing it to Teachers and Students.

We want to partner with a School, College or Academy to champion this way of working with code.

Working together to build an application that is perfectly tailored for the class room environment. Somewhere that’s perfectly suited for students of all abilities to make website, apps, art or simply explore a different way of thinking.

Our new curriculum teaches children computer science, information technology and digital literacy: teaching them how to code, and how to create their own programs; not just how to work a computer, but how a computer works and how to make it work for you.” - Michael Gove
